      <image:title>Meet Micaela - Micaela is:</image:title>
<image:caption>Parsons graduate. Contagiously inspirational pioneer. Fabric-salvaging, retro-remixing, sustainable human. Micaela studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York, focusing on sustainability in a world beset by environmentally detrimental fast fashion practices. She channels her knowledge of sustainable fashion into creatinG art from vintage textiles. She naturally dyes them with foraged plants and locally grown produce scraps, and stitches them into one-of-a-kind apparel wall art. An apparel designer by trade, Micaela creates whimsical designs that draw focus to femininity from her sunny studio in Virginia.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I make all of my own dyes from locally foraged plants, produce scraps, and mindfully sourced botanicals. I handcraft my own gouache and watercolor from earth pigments and natural ingredients, as well as, make my own lake pigments and inks from leftover dye baths. All textile remnants and embroidery threads are thoughtfully sourced second hand. I use 100% recycled paper, handmade by me or mindfully sourced.</image:caption>
